0uroboros is The Binding of Isaac dev's next platformer
The developer of The Binding of Isaac and Super Meat Boy has announced 0uroboros, a demanding platformer with rotating cylinder levels.
The creator of The Binding of Isaac and Super Meat Boy, Edmund McMillen, has finally revealed the title of his next project, after having teased the game a couple of weeks ago. 0uroboros is going to be a demanding platformer. A new trailer shows off a short fragment of gameplay set within a rotating cylinder. Another thing we learn from the video is that the game is going to feature black-and-white graphics and art style somewhat similar to that of The Binding of Isaac as well as some hot rock music. As for gameplay mechanics, McMillen described it as Mega Man-cross-Isaac platformer with tight controls. See how it plays out in this short teaser:
If you are familiar with McMillen’s previous works, you’ll be interested to hear that 0uroboros features the character known from browser-based Time Fcuk; however, it’s not a sequel, nor does it have any ties with The Binding of Isaac for that matter. 0uroboros is going to be released on PC and Mac, but there is no release date yet.
Along with that project, Edmund McMillen is also working on another game: The Legend of Bum-bo. Both titles are doing well development-wise, but it’s not yet certain which one will show up first.
