Imperator: Rome - graphics settings
Imperator: Rome does not offer a large number of visual settings that can be altered. Below, you will find an overview of all the available options.
- Game display mode - determines whether the title is displayed in windowed or full-screen mode.
- Screen resolution - allows you to select the screen resolution.
- Graphics card - select the graphics card which the game will use.
- Preset - allows a general change of graphic settings. This automatically modifies almost all of the following settings:
- Multisampling - allows you to specify how well the edges of the game will be smoothed. Disabling this feature will increase the performance of the game but at the expense of quality.
- Anisotropic filtering - allows you to define textures detail. The higher the value, the more detailed the textures, but the greater the load on the graphics card.
- VSync - the number of frames that are displayed on the screen in one second. This affects the smoothness of the image output. The higher the frequency, the smoother the image.
- Bloom - determines how light is displayed. When this function is enabled, light rays will be visible. This will increase the realism of the world, but can also cause performance to decline.
- Refraction and refractive details - allows you to determine whether water reflects light and how it will be displayed.
- Shadows - allows you to determine whether shadows will be displayed in the game.
- Shadow resolution - determines the resolution of the shadows. The higher the settings, the more detailed the shadows, but also the greater the use of the graphics card.
- Map objects - allows you to determine how accurate different features are visible on the map. Increasing the settings will degrade performance, but will make the visible objects more detailed.
- Quality Level of Details - this parameter allows you to change the quality with which the Level of Details technology will work.
