Zoo Tycoon 2: Marine Mania

Zoo Tycoon 2: Marine Mania for PC is another (following African Adventure) expansion for the popular economic strategy game series. This time the expansion focuses on ocean dwellers. Your task is still managing and expanding your zoo (as well as making money), but there are many new additions.

Mechanics

The expansion adds twenty new species. Now your zoo can feature e.g. mighty killer whales, bottlenose dolphins, rays, or majestic sea turtles. The facility can now also look more varied thanks to new decorations, buildings, attractions for visitors, and other elements.

Interestingly, Marine Mania also expands the animal interactions systems. You can now train choreography with your animals, e.g. by teaching dolphins how to jump through hoops or sliding on their tails. Such shows are a great way of attracting more visitors, which increases your income.

Those elements and new scenarios (ten of them in total) give more depth to the gameplay. The core game is required for the expansion to run, and since the basics of the gameplay do not differ much from those in other games of the franchise, you do not need to relearn the controls to play.
