The first mobile installment in the official FIA WRC game series by Firebrand Games. The production allows you to participate in a full season of the World Rally Championship, consisting of 60 special stages divided into 13 rallies taking place all over the world (e.g. in Monte Carlo, Sweden, Finland, Sardinia, Great Britain, and Poland). There are 18 licensed cars and teams based on real-life participants to choose from.
WRC The Official Game is the official FIA WRC World Rally Championship game and the first mobile version of the popular racing series existing on the market since 2010. The game was developed by Firebrand Games, the developers of Fast & Furious: Showdown and Hot Wheels: World's Best Driver, and published by Bigben Interactive.
Mechanics
In WRC The Official Game, we can take part in the entire 2014 World Rally Championship, consisting of a total of 60 special episodes, played in 13 different locations around the world. Apart from such cult events as the rallies held in Monte Carlo, Sweden, Finland, Portugal, Sardinia, Germany or Great Britain, the game also includes the 71st Polish Rally sponsored by Lotos. The game offers a total of 18 licensed car models and real rally drivers, including top figures such as Sébastien Ogier.
Even though we are dealing with a production dedicated to portable devices, the authors decided to offer players realistic gameplay. In WRC The Official Game, we race on different types of surfaces and in changing weather conditions, and the influence of these factors is noticeable during the game. The creators took care of a realistic model of damage and the need to repair cars between races, for which we have a very limited amount of time. Less skilled drivers will certainly benefit from the popular in racing games option of moving back a few seconds, which allows you to repeat unsuccessful maneuvers or serious crashes.
Technical aspects
WRC The Official Game features high-quality graphics and intuitive controls that use a touch screen or built-in gyroscopes. The developer also took care to support mobile game controllers and the ability to customize the interface to our preferences. Admittedly, the production is intended only for playing alone, but the creators have implemented online rankings of players, allowing to compare their achievements with the results of other virtual drivers from all over the world.
