World End Syndrome Description
World End Syndrome is a visual novel game with a dating simulator features. It was developed by Arc System Works and Toybox Games. The title was released on a few platforms, including PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
Plot
World End Syndrome takes place in a seaside city of Mikamachi. The main protagonist of the game arrives there and he becomes introduced to the local girls. Among them, there is Maimi Kususe (his cousin with whom he is supposed to live. She is popular among both men and women) and a quiet and mysterious Haruka Kanna. The fate of the protagonist and the girls depend on the action of the players and the choices he or she makes.
It is worth mentioning that the scenario was written by Tomio Kanazawa who previously worked on some games from the Harvest Moon series.
Mechanics
The gameplay in World End Syndrome is based on principles typical for the genre. The story is the focus of the game. While playing the title, the players are watching various scenes of conversations between characters and they are making decisions that can impact the story.
Technical aspects
The graphics of World End Syndrome are of high quality – the characters were designed by Yuuki Katou, known for his works on the BlazBlue series.
