Simple arcade game based on the popular series Disney. We play the role of a young sorceress named Alex, helping her to develop magical abilities.
Wizards of Waverly Place is an action-packed action game designed for teenage Nintendo DS users. The whole is based on the popular youth series Disney under the same title, Polish viewers known as Wizards from Waverly Place.
The plot of the game takes us to New York, where we get to know the fate of the main character of the series - Alex Russo. A teenage girl gradually acquires magical abilities and we help her to subjugate them. In addition to Alex, we can also direct two other characters at certain points in the game: Justin (Alex's older brother) and Max (the youngest sibling child). A big attraction for the fans of the series can also be the fact that during the fun we visit many locations known from television production, such as a family run shop, a sorcerer's burrow or the apartment of the Russo siblings.
Proper gameplay consists mainly of a series of simple mini-arcade games. Calling challenges unlocks our access to further spells, so that we can solve the tasks they face. The list of available spells includes spells that allow you to freeze objects, reduce their size or move objects in space.
In Wizards of Waverly Place there is a multiplayer mode, which is integrated with a service called DGamer. This tool allows you to exchange clothes and bonus items with other players, as well as chat using the built-in chat option.
This product puts great emphasis on cooperation with the touch screen of the Nintendo DS console. Drawing patterns with the stylus we recall specific spells, and by clicking on elements of the environment we enter into various interactions with them. Wizards of Waverly Place's visuals are relatively simple, but have a similar level of performance to other titles based on Disney TV series.
