The story of Wizards and Wagons begins where most productions of this type usually end: when the world-threatening evil was finally defeated, it's time to make some money!
Wizards and Wagons is a mobile production system based on iOS, combining an economic strategy focused on trading with tower defense elements. The game came from the hands of Touch Dimensions studio, known from the Dynasty Autumn series.
Story
The action of the game takes place in a standard land of fantasy, reminiscent of our Middle Ages, but at the same time full of magic, monsters and inhuman intelligent races. The plot of Wizards and Wagons begins where most of the production in these climates ends. The great evil has been defeated and the civilization of mortals no longer threatens annihilation. So the time has finally come to make money. Players play the role of an entrepreneurial merchant who decides to make a fortune on the trade that is rising from the knees after the war conflict.
Mechanics
While having fun we have to travel between the cities with carriages stuffed with goods. According to the typical mechanisms of commercial games, our task is to select the goods transported in such a way that we can buy them cheaply and sell them cheaply. We start with only one wagon, but over time we will buy new ones, creating a mini-karavan. At the same time, the land we travel through is still not a fully safe place. Instead, we often encounter various aggressive monsters on the trails. That's why the merchant's carriages are solidly armored and equipped with a large arsenal of weapons. This aspect of the game was realized in tower defense style. It is therefore necessary to select the right weapon types and unit upgrades so that we can effectively repel monster attacks.
The iOS Wizards and Wagons game is enriched by raw materials management. Trade expeditions are long, which, combined with the numerous threats encountered, makes it necessary to manage stocks and useful items efficiently, so that we can reach the destination. This aspect is diversified by the interesting mechanics of stacking goods, in which, like in the classic Tetris, we have to find such an arrangement of all objects in order to maximize the available space. In later parts of the game there is also an additional way to earn money in the form of contracts for specific monsters, which we can hunt during the journey.
