Wind Slayer is a quite unusual combination of MMORPG, in which we kill monsters, collect loot and train our hero, and a classic two-dimensional side scrolling platformer. At the beginning of the game, equipped with basic items, we set off on our first adventure, where, of course, we have to knock out a certain number of hostile creatures and bring to the client a certain amount of loot received from them. After reaching level 10 and completing a special task we can choose from 6 classes available: warrior, archer, mage, thief, monk and priest. Each of them differs slightly from the others in terms of both statistics and skills used. The next selection of players receive only at level 30, where they will be able to choose one of the two specializations for their character.
The mechanics of Wind Slayer does not differ much from other MMORPG titles. While visiting the cities we can choose to buy new equipment for our hero, change his appearance and take on the tasks offered by the residents. We perform these tasks in mountains, caves and forests, i.e. areas inhabited by all kinds of monsters. Wind Slayer also offers PvP arenas, where we have the opportunity to face other players. Starting with 1 in 1 fights, through the classic deathmatch, up to the 8 out of 8 team fights.
The graphics in Wind Slayer is almost identical to the one used in Mapple Story, so the world is presented in two dimensions. The whole was realized in a characteristic, colourful manga style.
