Elsword Online is a free-to-play MMO game that combines elements of side-scroll platformer, beat up and cRPG battles. The title was produced by KOG Games. Players take on the role of the inhabitants of the fantastic world, which becomes a target for the invasion of monsters. The visual setting of the game is maintained in the convention of manga comic book.

Korean studio KOG Games specializes in the production of action games intended for online games. After the success of Grand Chase, the Seoul developers took on another project that builds on the ideas of the previous production.

The plot of Elsword Online is set in the fantastic, full of magic and bizarre creatures, the world of Elios. Players can assume the role of one of the characters living there and undertake a series of missions to save the land from the dangers that threaten it.

The creators foresaw six predefined heroes: Elsword, Aisha, Rena, Raven, Eve and Chung, each with different skills, fighting style, weapons and armour. As the game progresses, players can also observe changes in the appearance of their characters, which from young adventurers turn into real heroes.

Elsword Online gameplay is based mainly on spectacular clashes with opponents. By pressing the appropriate keys, the players blows and combine them into striking combinations. There are also special attacks that can be used from time to time.

The game combines elements of arcade platforming, beat'em up and cRPG battles. In the course of the mission, the heroes gain experience and money, as well as find various items of equipment. Upgrading to the next level allows you to develop your skills, and by visiting you can buy better weapons or even try to create unique items yourself.

An important aspect of the game is also the care of your pet, which can grow from a docile puppy into a powerful beast, fit for combat but also.... reproduction.

As befits an MMO title, the game does not lack elements promoting fun together. Players can exchange correspondence, form teams and even play PvP (Player vs. Player) or PVP team matches.

Elsword Online's visuals are not very attractive, which, however, explains the very low hardware requirements. Although the characters and many elements of the environment are modeled in 3D, the action can only be tracked from the camera's characteristic for 2D platformers. An interesting graphic element are frames, appearing during exciting clashes and events important for the plot, thanks to which the game seems to be an interactive manga comic.

It is worth noting that although you can play Elsword Online for free, some items and facilities are available only for real money through the built-in micropayment system.
