Wilmot's Warehouse Description
Wilmot's Warehouse is a two-dimensional puzzle game, in which we organize the warehouse. The game offers an interesting gameplay idea and has a two-person co-op mode. The game was developed by independent developers Richard Hagget (he runs a one-man Hollow Ponds studio) and Richard Hogg.
Mechanics
At Wilmot's Warehouse, our job is to put the goods in the warehouse in such a way that it's in order. We are looking at the world of the game from top-down perspective and the gameplay comes down to arranging successive objects (we move them with our character), which are represented by square icons - in the game you can find half a thousand different goods.
What's interesting, it's only up to us how we arrange the items - we can sort them by colour, type or based on yet another idea. The only thing that matters is that it fits as much as possible and that everything is easy to find and available on call. From time to time, the game will test our work by demanding an object from us. The fact that on the map we can only see the goods that are a short distance from us and all the rest is hidden behind the fog makes it difficult - so we have to remember what we left behind. We also have a limited time to deliver a particular good.
As we progress through the game, we can also gain upgrades and features that increase our capabilities.
Game modes
At Wilmot's Warehouse we can play alone or with a colleague - in a two-person local co-op mode. There is also a special expert mode for players who like challenges.
Technical aspects
Wilmot's Warehouse has a very simple, two-dimensional graphic design. Graphics consists of a black field representing our magazine and colorful icons representing individual items that can be stored in it. The graphics does not look particularly pretty, but is very clear.
