Release Date: December 20, 2016
An extensive remake of Wild Guns, a classical action game that was initially released in 1994 for SNES. It was developed by Natsume in cooperation with the creators of the original. The game’s plot combines elements of western with science fiction and cyberpunk and tells the story of two protagonists: a girl named Annie, who wishes to take revenge on the Kid’s gang, and a bounty hunter, Clint, helping her.
Wild Guns: Reloaded for SWITCH, PC and PS4 is an extensive remake of 1994’s Wild Guns for Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It was developed by Natsume, a Japanese studio known for various titles, including Omega Five, Godzilla, and Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories. Natsume Atari as well as the developers of the original were also involved in the development.
In the game, we follow two protagonists: Annie, who wishes to take revenge on the Kid’s gang, and a bounty hunter, Clint, that helps her. Wild Guns: Reloaded combines several seemingly incompatible genres. On the one hand, it is a typical western, but on the other, it features science fiction and steampunk elements.
The gameplay in Wild Guns: Reloaded for SWITCH, PC and PS4 combines the ordinary rail crosshair with elements of third-person shooters. It means that we control the characters by running, rolling, jumping etc. and simultaneously trying to aim at enemies in the back of the level. The formula of the classic Wild Guns was slightly enhanced — instead of two heroes, we have four, and all of them have their unique weapons. Moreover, we can play in a co-op mode for up to four players. All of the above is complemented by new arenas (the ones from the original are also available) as well as previously unknown bosses and special weaponry.

Game Ratings for Wild Guns: Reloaded Video Game.
Nintendo Life: 9 / 10 by Gonçalo Lopes
Wild Guns Reloaded sets the new benchmark on how to bring back old Super Nintendo titles to the current generation of gamers. It not only manages to remain faithful to everything that made up the original such a stellar effort, but actually offers some worthwhile new content. With the continued absence of the Virtual Console service on Switch (and the rising costs of a complete-in-the-box original Super Nintendo versions of the game), we offer little refrain in welcoming one of Natsume's finest games home. Solid, memorable and fun arcade shooting action that will keep you coming back for more, even if only to see Bullet hovering about while grappled by his lethal drone.
Hardcore Gamer: 4 / 5 by Kyle LeClair
Wild Guns Reloaded may be a splash of cold water in the face reminding you of just how hard games from the 8-bit and 16-bit eras could be, but it’s also a reminder of how damn fun and enjoyable they can be as well, proving that some titles are indeed timeless.
ZTGD: 6.5 / 10 by Ken McKown
Wild Guns Reloaded is a great trip down nostalgia lane with some bad decisions regarding price and lack of online. I had a lot of fun with it, but felt it was a bit too pricey for what it offers. Fans of the original will undoubtedly find plenty to love, but the steep price and lack of online make this hard to recommend for anyone who doesn’t have the fondest of memories for the original game.
