Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader - Void Shadows

Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader - Void Shadows is an expansion to the RPG game titled Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, released in December 2023. The DLC was developed by the authors of the original, the Russian studio Owlcat Games, whose portfolio also includes games such as Pathfinder: Kingmaker and Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous.

Plot

The story told in Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader - Void Shadows has been fully integrated with the plot of the base version of the game. A new threat appears on our vacuum ship in the form of members of the Genestealer Cult, who infect our crew with their genetic code in order to convert them to their side. Given that the fate of the entire von Valancius dynasty hangs by a thread because of them, we have no choice but to step in and try to eliminate the threat before things completely get out of control.

We will not be alone in this, because in addition to the team members known from the original, we have a completely new companion at our side - Kibellah, an assassin of the Death Cult willing to risk their own life for the good of the von Valancius dynasty.

Mechanics

Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader - Void Shadows offers a number of new missions, which take approximately 15 hours to complete. In addition to this, Kibellah plays an important role in the described DLC. Our new companion not only provides indispensable support on the battlefield, but also joins the group of characters with whom we can romance.

Additionally, the DLC allows us to visit new locations, as well as features previously unavailable equipment and additional crew members - high-ranking officers.
