A turn-based strategy game set in a popular science-fiction universe, developed by Slitherine, an esteemed studio specialized in strategy titles. The plot is focused on a great war of the planet Armageddon, in which the allied forces of the Space Marines and the Imperial Guard fight against the army of orks led by Ghazghkull Thraka.

[2:00] Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon gameplay trailer
Game Debate: 7 / 10 by Stuart Thomas
There is a solid wargame here, as you'd expect from the Panzer guys at Slitherine. Warhammer fans will be able to lose themselves down the rabbit hole of unit loadouts and Armageddon pattern variants, tinkering with constructing the perfect battalion, and there's even a map editor bundled with the game (which I found to be a little more complex than it needed to be). At the moment, I can't help but feel that a full-price ticket is a little ambitious for a game that looks for the most part like it could be handled by a web browser, but once the price comes down a little it's a worthy gateway drug to the world of really crunchy wargames.
PCGamesN: 7 / 10 by Fraser Brown
Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon is a bit skinny for a wargame. I can't deny that I've missed getting stressed about logistics or big picture strategy, and it certainly hasn't set my heart aflutter in the way that I hoped a Warhammer wargame would. But there aren't very many wargames that are this easy to dip into, either. It's got a focus and simplicity that's often lacking elsewhere, and it could be indispensible for anyone looking to dip their toes into the genre.
Digitally Downloaded: 4 / 5
Is it disappointing that units in Warhammer 40,000 are so simple in presentation? Sure, especially when you consider how monotone many of the "apocalyptic" environments are. But given the choice between a game like this an a major studio producing a Warhammer game that fails to even understand where the real appeal of Warhammer lies, I'll take a game like Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon any time.

Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon Description
Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon for PC and iOS is turn-based war strategy production set in the universe of the popular tabletop wargame. It was developed by Slitherine.
Plot
The story campaign spans over 35 missions and five extra tutorial scenarios. The plot is non-linear to some extent and your actions can alter it, sending you on alternative maps. The story is focused on a war between two factions. The first one consists of the allied forces of the Space Marines of the Ultramarines, Blood Angels and Salamanders orders, and the Armageddon Steel legion of the Imperial Guard. The other side of the conflict are the armies of the orcs led by Ghazghkull Thrak. During the campaign, you can paly through the whole war of the planet Armageddon, from the landing of the greenskins to the final victory of the Empire.
Mechanics
Warhammer 40,000 for PC and iOS features over 100 kinds of units, each with its own set of abilities and skills, described in twenty factors. The developers created a complex strategy-based combat system, taking into account such elements as land relief, weather conditions, and the soldiers' morale. The game also features some RPG elements—between the battle, you can develop your characters' skills and upgrade their equipment. Another feature is a set of modding tools, allowing creation of your own missions.
You cannot lead an orc army in the story campaign, but it is an option in the multiplayer mode. The online matches take place on separate maps, created specially for the player-vs-player mode.

Expansion
Strategy
August 18, 2016
A standalone expansion to turn-based strategy game set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe from the duo of The Lordz Games Studio and Flashback Games. It takes place at the end of 40th millennium, when a derelict ship is discovered in a system of the planet Armageddon. When humans attempt to investigate the wreck, it turns out to be a ruse of Orks, who plan to start the biggest offensive on the Empire of Man yet and end humans once and for all. We play as a warboss of Orks, Ghazghkull Thraka, known from the original board game, leading his forces against Space Marines and Armageddon Steel Legion in various locations – from open space to cities. Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon - Da Orks offers new dynamic campaign consisting of 18 missions and complements it with base game’s multiplayer through PBEM++. Players can choose from over 400 new units, equipped with 200 different kinds of weapons.

Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon - Vulkan's Wrath is the first big expansion to Warhammer: 40,000: Armageddon, a real-time strategy developed by The Lordz Games and Slitherine. This add-on expands the plot of the first game and tells the story of the second war for the planet Armageddon. Three chapters of Space Marines join the battle in its crucial moment. The expansion's story focuses on the Salamanders chapter. The game is divided into ten missions, during which we will use all assets and special abilities of our Space Marines unit while defending the planet's inhabitants from the ferocious Orcs. Vulkan's Wrath does not introduce any technical changes to the game. Just like in the base game, we can play alone or compete with other players in asynchronous multiplayer played through PBEM++.
