WarCraft II: Beyond the Dark Portal PC

The destruction of the Dark Portal, a mystical gateway to the world of orcs, accomplished nothing. In the heart of Azeroth, a rift that could cause another orc invasion still remained, therefore the highest command decided to try and to take the fight to the enemy land. The humans did not know, however, that the orcs were trying to do the exact same thing…

Beyond the Dark Portal is a phenomenal expansion pack for WarCraft II, a game that once competed with Command & Conquer in the genre of real-time strategy games. It is clear that the developers of Blizzard Entertainment offered something more than just a set of extra missions. The add-on offers a completely new types of units, so-called heroes, which are much more durable and deadly than their brethren. Heroes are, of course, the most important units on the battlefield, so their death means defeat. Additionally, Beyond the Dark Portal introduces 28 scenarios (14 for each side), some of which are played out on a completely new terrain. The rest remained the same, save for the cut scenes and the soundtrack. The difficulty level is much more higher, so the subsequent missions will be increasingly demanding, requiring the player to smartly manage the available resources and the heroes.

Beyond the Dark Portal can be recommended to any fan of WarCraft II. It is more difficult, more demanding, but also offers much more in return.
