Voxel Tycoon is an economic strategy game, which is the debut work of the studio of the same name. The game resembles such titles as Rise of Industry or Industry Giant II.

Mechanics

Similarly to many other productions from this genre, in Voxel Tycoon everything was shown in isometric view. The game throws players into an endless, procedurally generated world. You can find a number of different biomes - from deserts through forests to arctic areas - each of which offers unique resources.

The aim of the game is to create your own industrial and transport empire from scratch. The player can build extensive factories, where basic raw materials are processed into more advanced products. An important role here is played by building a network of conveyor belts, which guarantee the transport of resources between individual buildings.

Each city on the map needs supplies of specific goods (these are needed to expand the settlement) and access to passenger transport. The player must create a transport network to meet these needs. At his disposal is a range of vehicles of various types - from trucks to trains. Each machine is characterised by different parameters, such as speed or load capacity.

The player has tools to control his vehicles. He can create timetables, indicate which goods will be unloaded at particular stations and where exactly the vehicle is to stop. Additionally, the game also allows for the construction of infrastructure, which will enable machines to move between given points.

Voxel Tycoon also offers an economy system - prices of particular products change depending on demand. The player also has the possibility to directly invest in cities and other enterprises.
