A strategy game in which we take control of the crew of a powerful robot fighting in a special arena; in Volta-X we have to make sure that the ammunition of our machine is loaded and any faults are repaired as soon as possible. The game was developed with multiplayer in mind.

Volta-X is a multiplayer strategy game, in which we take part in duels of huge robots controlled by anthropomorphic animals. The title was developed by GungHo Online Entertainment.

Mechanics

The pillar of Volta-X are the battles of walking machines, which are fought in a special arena. We can modify the equipment of the robots. The available arsenal includes both ranged weapons (such as steel-cutting lasers and rapid-fire rocket launchers) and melee weapons (such as powerful clubs). The mechanical colossi are not controlled directly - instead, we control their crew, responsible for loading ammunition, extinguishing fires or repairing damaged components. As everything happens fast, during the game, we need to show not only tactical sense but also perceptiveness and reflexes.

During breaks between fights, we can expand our base (and for example, equip it with lounges and cafes where our pets can relax) and work on upgrades for our machine; new armor increases mech's resistance to damage, while increasingly powerful weapons enable us to compete with stronger opponents. A visit to our headquarters is also an opportunity to learn more about our charges.

Technical aspects

Volta-X features eye-catching cartoonish visual. The game is complemented by a clear interface that enables us to keep track of the status of the robot and its weapons, as well as the location of individual crew members.
