Video Horror Society Description
Video Horror Society is a survival horror game designed to be played in asymmetrical multiplayer mode. It was developed by indie studio Hellbent Games and is a tribute to the cinematic horror films of the 1980s.
Plot
Video Horror Society spreads before us a grim vision of the world. All sorts of monsters and villains, which so far could only be seen on TV screens, have managed to escape from VCR tapes and are now spreading terror in reality. We take on the role of teenagers forced to fight for survival.
Game mechanics
In Video Horror Society, the gameplay varies, depending on who you play.
Taking control of one of the teenagers, we observe the action from a third-person perspective (TPP), and our primary goal is to survive. To emerge unscathed from the oppression, we must, above all, make good use of the weapons we acquire. Although rifles, remote-controlled helicopter models and other weapons and gadgets can give us an advantage over the enemy, they should be used with caution, as they are kind of disposable items. In addition, you need to work closely with other players.
If, on the other hand, we decide to stand on the other side of the barricade, we will enter the skin of a werewolf, a puppet master and other terrors. Viewing the events from a first-person perspective (FPP), we are primarily engaged in hunting down teenagers, trying to get them all.
The game takes place in a variety of locations inspired by movie settings - from a ruined hotel to secret research facilities. As we progress, we develop heroes and anti-heroes, who learn new skills and improve the ones we already have. In addition, over time we gain access to a variety of cosmetic add-ons.
Game modes
Video Horror Society allows only multiplayer play.
Technical aspects
Graphics in Video Horror Society game look good. The whole thing is made in a colorful, "neon" style referring to the films of the 1980s.
