Victory At Sea is an RTS that focuses on skirmishes in the seas and oceans using a combat fleet. The game is set in historical realities - its action takes place during the Second World War. Developers from Evil Twin Artworks are responsible for creating this production.
Mechanics
Victory At Sea is a real-time strategy offering several original elements. The most important is that the game takes place on one huge map - it means that the players are forced to take care of both tactical planning and thinking in strategic (long-term) terms.
By controlling our ships (there are over 80 units of different classes available, including submarines or powerful aircraft carriers), we harass the enemy, destroy their fleet, disrupt supply lines, attack convoys (and defend our own), and try to achieve the goals set by the mission. What is interesting, the day and night cycle is very important for the game - night fights at sea can be a very intensive experience. The action can be stopped at any time, which makes it a little easier to give orders and exercise control over the army.
The production of Evil Twin Artworks makes it possible to steer ships of one of the several available nations, both on the side of the Allies and the Axis.
Game modes
We can only play Victory At Sea solo. In addition to casual gameplay, there is also a Historical Battle mode (we choose a site and fight - the conditions for winning are defined in advance).
Technical aspects
Victory At Sea features pleasant three-dimensional visuals. The water simulation is particularly impressive - the waves look very realistic and are well animated.
