Velocibox Description
Velocibox is an extremely fast arcade game, intended for the most experienced players. The title was created by a one-man studio from Malaysia. The game is the developer's debut and his first commercial project. The author was inspired by many indie hits, including Super Hexagon.
Mechanics
The rules of Velocibox are extremely simple. Players control a small orange cube running through a long straight corridor. On our way, there are various types of obstacles, such as walls or columns, which we have to avoid by jumping on the sidewalls and the ceiling. Players can move left and right at a time, or jump instantly to the opposite wall. Every encounter with an obstacle ends in death and we have to start again. The author has prepared a total of over 70 levels of increasing difficulty. On each of them, there are small orange blocks, and getting them affects the final score. In addition, Velocibox includes an optional extreme difficulty mode called Super Velocibox, designed for real hardcore players.
Technical aspects
The graphics in Velocibox are minimalistic and consist basically only of simple and expressive geometric shapes. The whole thing looks extremely good, even though it doesn't use impressive graphic effects.
