Varenje is a game that mixes elements of puzzle games and hidden object games. The game also stands out with its original setting and bizarre script. The indie Play Cute studio is responsible for its development. The publisher is JoyBits.

Plot

The hero in Varenje, who spent the summer in a forest hut, decided one day to try a strange berry by the stream. It had an extraordinary effect - suddenly everything became very big for him. Trying to understand what happened, the hero set off on a journey through a world that is normally invisible for the human eye.

Mechanics

In Varenje, the main goal is to get to know the story - to discover what happened to the main character and to find out how he can get back to his normal size. The game is to search for objects in the illustrations visible on the screen. From time to time we also have to use the things we find and solve puzzles, which are mini-games based on different principles.

Players have a hint system at their disposal, which helps when they are not able to find a solution on their own.

Game modes

In Varenje we can only play alone. The core of the game is a feature campaign.

Technical aspects

Varenje has an original, two-dimensional graphic design, which is based on hand-made illustrations resembling paintings. The artistic style of the game is very abstract. The game is also full of very intense colours.
