Vampire: The Masquerade - Heartless Symphony PC

Vampire: The Masquerade - Heartless Symphony is an RPG developed by the indie Spanish team Entalto Studios. It evolved from a non-commercial project titled Vampire: The Masquerade - Heartless Lullaby, which won the Vampire: The Masquerade Jam competition and was subsequently made available for free.

Plot

Vampire: The Masquerade - Heartless Symphony takes us to the dark universe created for the role-playing game Vampire: The Masquerade. We get in the middle of the conflict between two vampire clans - Sabbat fanatics, treating humans like cattle and Camarilla sectarians, trying to stay hidden at all costs.

The title allows us to take on the role of several characters, each of which presents a different point of view. Apart from the characters who were playable already in the prologue - mortal Zak Riley and vampire Diane - production gives us also Jaxon, Christophe and Lewis (in the original they appeared as NPCs). How their fates will turn out depends on our actions and choices we make.

Game mechanics

In Vampire: The Masquerade - Heartless Symphony we observe the action from isometric view. We travel through mysterious locations, talk a lot and perform tasks pushing the plot forward and various side missions. In addition, we make decisions that affect the course of the story and which of the many endings we'll see.

As we progress, we develop the protagonists, improving their stats and learning new skills (for example, Diane can use superhuman strength and charm). It is worth noting that among the improvements introduced in this production in relation to the original, there is the possibility of running and saving the game state.

Technical aspects

Graphics in Vampire: The Masquerade - Heartless Symphony is made in the characteristic style known from the prologue, combining shades of gray with blood red and neon accents.
