Until You Fall

Until You Fall is an action game enriched with RPG and roguelike elements. The title was created for virtual reality sets by an independent American studio Schell Games, in whose portfolio you can find warmly welcomed I Expect You To Die.

Plot

Until You Fall takes us to a fantastic land known as Rokar. The civilization that inhabited it was a real power thanks to the magical power called Ether. This was the case until the civilization was the victim of a disaster called the Calamity, and Rokar was captured by the forces of evil. The player takes on the role of the last representative of the elite Rune Knights, who tries to face the threat alone.

Mechanics

In Until You Fall we observe the action from the first person perspective (FPP). The gameplay is dynamic, and during it we travel through picturesque locations generated procedurally and take part in spectacular duels. We eliminate the opponents called the Rashed, among whom we find both the "cannon fodder", which does not pose a greater threat to us, as well as warriors much more powerful than them, with the use of white weapons and spells.

In fast battles, you need to show dexterity and reflexes to effectively block enemy attacks and lead out instant counterattacks. At the same time, we can use two murder tools like a sword, axe or dagger. Each of them has also been assigned a special combat skill, the proper use of which (after being charged) can change the fate of many clashes. These include a magical shield, freezing an opponent, or even an energy wave rejecting nearby opponents; the effects of their actions can be combined.

In addition, as we progress, we gain various upgrades for our character to increase his life stock or damage. In addition, we obtain Aether used by our friend the rokar blacksmith to create new weapons and improve existing ones.

Technical aspects

Untill You Fall has colorful, three-dimensional graphics of decent quality. The struggle is accompanied by a fast, synthwave soundtrack. The title requires virtual reality goggles and dedicated motion controllers to work<.
