UnMetal Description
UnMetal is a stealth action game. It's a sort of humorous tribute to the most iconic games of this genre (such as the Metal Gear series), as well as action films and TV shows (such as MacGyver). It was develoepd by Francisco Téllez de Meneses - a Spanish indie developer also known as UnepicFran.
Plot
The main protagonist of UnMetal is Jesse Fox. He's been framed for a crime he didn't commit and imprisoned in a secret military facility. He decides to escape and clear his name, though the task is not simple, as Fox is no skilled commando. Along the way, he ends up uncovering a much larger conspiracy.
Mechanics
UnMetal makes use of top-down perspective. We must be vigilant while traversing the military base, as guards lurk around every corner. Fortunately, Fox is not defenseless - aside to his cunning and fists, he can wield firearms, explosives, gadgets and improvised gear worthy of MacGyver himself.
Direct combat will quickly get you killed - you should instead sneak behind enemies and take them out from hiding. Aside from regular enemies, the player will also face powerful bosses which require lots of effort and to dispatch.
As we progress through the game, we develop our character and learn new skills, letting us face greater challenges.
Technical aspects
UnMetal features simple, pixel art visuals reminiscent of the first Metal Gear games.
