The eight major entry in a cult cRPG series created by Richard Garriott, whose first part debuted back in 1980 as one of the first commercial products in its kind. The next chapter in the saga about the nameless hero known as the Avatar is a continuation of the events of the previous game.

The eighth installment in the Avatar saga takes us to the world of Pagan, where we are taken prisoner by the Guardian after we interrupted his plans for Britannia in The Black Gate and Serpent Isle. Pagan is a completely new world governed by totally different rules. Contrary to some of the previous Ultimas, we control only one character, developing its skills and statistics. In order to break free and defeat the evil, we’ll have to understand the rules of Pagan in detail, for it is completely under the Guardian’s control. Ultima VIII: Pagan is powered by a modern engine that offers isometric view and a large number of details.

  • Rich storyline in a completely new world.
  • A few magic schools to learn from on the basis of runes, rituals, magical components and enchanting.
  • New engine with realistic physics and real-time combat.
  • Bigger movement capabilities, such as sneaking, climbing, running, throwing items, etc.
  • One player character that can be fully controlled, including its strength, agility, intelligence and magical skills.
