Ultima Online: Lord Blackthorn's Revenge is an expansion for one of the most famous and cult MMORPGs ever – Ultima Online. The developers signed a contract with Todd McFarlane (famous cartoonist and creator of Spawn series) in which they ordered over 30 new and unique monster designs.
In Ultima Online: Lord Blackthorn's Revenge, the players are taken to the dark times when the evil Lord Blackthorn, head of a monstrous army (created by the aforementioned McFarlane), tries to destroy Britannia. The cities are under attack and it is up to the players to decide whether they’ll join forces and repulse this incursion or simply let the beasts take over. The new enemies are cunning and deadly, thanks to the new AI, so the players have to find their weak spots, because this is the only way to even stand a chance against them in a fight.
The new monsters are not everything this add-on has to offer, though. It also adds new items and a new land called World of Ilshenar, where Lord Blackthorn dwells and where his castle is located. Intuitive tutorial and extended character creation possibilities allow the new players to develop their heroes even quicker and thus dive into the fantasy world of Ultima Online more easily.
