Two Worlds III for PC, XONE and PS4 is the third major instalment of the third-person action RPG series started in 2007. The game is still developed by Polish Reality Pump studio which after releasing an unsuccessful RPG Raven’s Cry (and its improved edition – Vendetta: Curse of Raven’s Cry) and allegedly having gone bankrupt was taken under TopWare Interactive’s wings.
Plot
The action of Two Worlds III is once more set in a fantasy world called Antaloor inhabited by different canonical races, like humans, dwarves, elves, and orcs. Once again you are in control of a hero whose actions will change the whole universe.
Mechanics
Drawing on their experience gained during working on both former instalments of Two Worlds, the creators implemented well-proven formulas and enriched them by a number of novelties and characteristic, modern action RPG elements. Gameplay combines classic RPG aspects – e.g. rich, multiple branching storylines with loads of main and side quests and an extensive character development system – with dynamic and arcade combat. Developers put a strong emphasis on a wide variety of equipment, presence of magic, and spells.
Technical aspects
Technically, the game is powered by Grace engine created and constantly improved by Reality Pump. It offers decent graphics across different platforms, while its newest version makes use of the power of modern PCs and the eight generation of video game consoles.
