Tunche is a colorful two-dimensional beat'em up with roguelike elements, whose action is set in a universe full of shamanic magic and legends. The game offers four-person co-op mode. The title was developed by Leap Game Studios and published by HypeTrain Digital. Funding for the game was collected through a Kickstarter campaign.
Mechanics
Tunche is an old-school 2D fighting game in which the action is observed from the side - from the so-called side-scroll perspective. The player's task is to move to the right and exterminate subsequent enemies (including occasionally appearing powerful bosses). The game offers the possibility of playing several different characters with extensive sets of moves - including special and magic attacks. Tunche is enriched by elements of mechanics typical for the roguelike genre (e.g. partial randomization of maps and opponents).
Game modes
Tunche can be played solo or with others (in a 4-person local co-op mode).
Technical aspects
Tunche features simple two-dimensional visuals, which was made very professionally and with great attention to detail. Hand-drawn characters and backgrounds look beautiful - they are full of colors and are nicely animated. There are also interesting designs of individual monsters.
