Tribe Nation

Tribe Nation is an RTS set in the time of the Gallic Wars (58-51 BC). The production is the debut work of the independent Czech team Random Worlds from Prague.

The plot of

Tribe Nation allows us to take control of one of the Celtic tribes, whose members, unwilling to surrender to the Roman forces and bow to Julius Caesar, were forced to leave their homeland and wander around Europe. Our task is to guide them in such a way that they manage to emerge unscathed from the turmoil of war.

Gameplay

In Tribe Nation we observe events from a bird's eye view. The path of our Celt?s leads through places scattered all over Western Europe. Traveling it, the tribe encounters other inhabitants of the continent, with whom it can trade and experience various adventures (presented in the form of text descriptions).

As you progress, you will discover druid secrets, as well as explore warfare and tribal knowledge. In addition, we gather useful resources and create weapons and armor (which we equip our soldiers with), or construct war machines.

Battles

Traveling across Europe, our tribe regularly encounters Romans with whom it must face off. Clashes are fought in real time, in randomly generated arenas covered with a grid of hexagonal p?les. The key to success here is not only the skillful use of the capabilities of the available units, but also the choice of the right formation and the use of various tactical plays, including attacking the enemy from the flanks.

After victory, you can choose how to treat the defeated adversaries. The game offers three levels of brutality with which we can deal with enemies. Although the bloody solution seems to be the most advantageous, as it provides us with the most resources, the news of our cruel deeds will quickly spread around the area, so that later the Romans will begin to throw larger forces against us. For this reason, it is sometimes worth giving up some of the resources in favor of a slightly more peaceful crossing of the continent.
