Transylvania is a textual adventure, prepared in 1982 with Apple II computers in mind. The main designer of this product is Antonio Antiochia, who not only invented the story told in the game, but also tried to create colorful illustrations. The whole was programmed by Penguin Software, Inc., later known as Polarware. The PC conversion of Transylvania was not released until 1986.

The plot of the program does not belong to the original ones. The player plays the role of a fearless daredevil who sets off to the land of Transylvania, associated with vampires, in order to find Princess Sabrina, kidnapped by the evil Dracula. The mission will be successful if the girl is safely taken to the court of her father, King John. There is very little time for a very dangerous task - a blood-thirsty creature is going to kill its victim that night.
