Trainz Railroad Simulator 2022

Trainz Railroad Simulator 2022 is an extended railroad sim that belongs to the popular series started in 2001. It was developed by the Australian studio N3V Games.

Game mechanics

Trainz Railroad Simulator 2022 offers a wide range of attractions for train enthusiasts. First of all, it allows us to play the role of a train driver and sit behind the controls of various locomotives, driving on various routes scattered around the world. Besides, the title gives us the opportunity to prove ourselves as a dispatcher controlling the movement of trains on a chosen route. In addition, we can design our own routes and edit existing ones. The biggest novelty related to the latter is the ability to switch smoothly from design mode to drive mode and vice versa, which greatly improves the process of creation and elimination of mistakes made during the design phase.

Similar to the previous installments of the series, game not only gives us the built-in content, but also allows us to use numerous elements available as paid DLC. In the so-called Trainz Download Station we can find thousands of locomotives, wagons (freight and passenger) and routes. In addition to the content known from previous installments of the series, we will find numerous novelties, led by five routes (American West from Denver, German Schwäninger Land, British Liskeard to Looe, Australian Bairnsdale to Orbost and Russian Beloreck - South Ural Mountains) and new locomotives (such as Amtrak P42DC Phase V, Class 47, VR T Class or VL82).

Game modes

In Trainz Railroad Simulator 2022 we can play solo or in a co-op multiplayer mode. The latter allows us to create entire worlds together and traverse the routes crossing them behind the controls of trains.

Technical aspects

Trainz Railroad Simulator 2022 runs on the technology created for Trainz: A New Era. Graphics in this game present quite a high quality; what draws attention to the game are the cockpits of the locomotives, worked out with attention to detail.
