Touch Type Tale

Mechanics

Unlike other strategy games, when playing Touch Type That we don't use the mouse at all. Instead, controls are based on typing in the keywords appearing on the screen; this is how we recruit new units, give commands to the troops (sending them to a specific location, changing formation or issuing order to attack), construct new buildings and manage the structures of the kingdom or even operate the game menu.

However, the gameplay does not differ much from what other strategy titles have accustomed us to. In the course of the game we deal with the acquisition of resources, construction of new buildings and finally combat, to which we send, among others, knights or archers. The action of the game takes place on two screens. While on a larger one we can see our domains and their surroundings, the smaller one, incorporated into the interface, enables us, for example, to look closely at what is happening in the buildings or observe the course of battle.

Game modes

The pillar of Touch Type Tale is a single-player story campaign. In addition, the title enables us to take part in multiplayer battles over the Internet.

Technical aspects

Touch Type Tale features colorful graphics maintained in a pleasant cartoonish style. The whole thing is transparent, which enables us to quickly grasp the situation on the screen.
