Total War: Warhammer - Call of the Beastmen Description
The first campaign pack to the strategy game Total War: Warhammer that was created by British studio Creative Assembly, the creators of the popular series Total War. Call of the Beastmen expansion pack for PC enriches the original game with playable Beastmen faction and a mini-campaign focusing on them.
Plot
The war-ravaged Old World can’t have a moment of rest. A new threat emerges from the dark woods: the Beastmen, a humanoid race of beasts created due to mutation of humans under the influence of Chaos. Once they were exiled from fertile grounds, now they live in the forests. They are brutal warriors that gathered to have their revenge on the forces of the Empire. They intend to destroy anyone on their way. The player assumes the role of a powerful leader of the Beastmen, one-eyed Khazrak who intends to unite scattered tribes of his kind and exact revenge on his arch nemesis: Boris Todbringer.
Mechanics
Total War: Warhammer – Call of the Beastmen for PC offers a story mini-campaign which takes place on a new map densely filled with forests of the Middenheim province. During the game player can lead the race of Beastmen which has a very aggressive gameplay style. The Beastmen have unique buildings, technologies, abilities, tactics, units and heroes. They are masters of guerilla warfare and a nomadic tribe – they don’t create traditional settlements but they move their infrastructure from one place to another. Among their ranks there are very powerful units, including giant beasts.
As a race marked by Chaos, the Beastmen are able to poison conquered regions and use dark forces, for example by performing rituals for the Morrslieb moon. In difference to other factions, they can move through forest paths undetected by enemies. Their aggressive game style is supported by a bonus army that appears on the campaign map if the player is often winning battles.
Game modes
In addition to the previously mentioned minicampaign, Total War: Warhammer – Call of the Beastmen for PC allows playing as the Beastmen in the great campaign and controlling them in single battles – both in single and multiplayer mode.
