The fifth installment in the series of tennis games from 2K, started in 2003. TopSpin 2K25 allows us to both create a brand new player using the creator, or to play as one of the biggest stars. We can participate in Wimbledon, Roland-Garros, US Open and Australian Open.
TopSpin 2K25 is the fifth installment of the series of sports games devoted to tennis, launched in 2003. The game was developed by the Hangar 13 studio, responsible for such projects as Mafia III and Mafia: Definitive Edition, and was published by 2K Sports.
Mechanics
Thanks to official licenses, TopSpin 2K25 offers us the opportunity to take part in four Grand Slam tournaments, i.e. Wimbledon, Roland-Garros, US Open and Australian Open. Fighting for the title of Grand Slam Champion, we face real players, among whom we can find greatest stars of this sport, including Roger Federer, Serena Williams, Iga Swiatek (she appears on the cover of the Deluxe Edition), Carlos Alcaraz, Frances Tiafoe or Andre Agassi.
The game allows us to both play the role of one of the stars or create our own tennis player in the extensive MyPLAYER creator. We can not only decide on the gender and appearance of our character, but also on their clothing, accessories, and equipment from such companies as Adidas, HEAD, Lacoste, New Balance, Nike or Wilson.
Game modes
TopSpin 2K25 can be played alone or in multiplayer mode (via the Internet or locally).
In addition to the MyCAREER mode, where we go from a beginner player to a real tennis star, the World Tour and 2K Tour modules are also available. The game has also implemented the so-called TopSpin Academy, a special mode in which the legendary John McEnroe helps us improve our skills through various exercises and challenges.
