Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Essentials PSP

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Essentials is another game about the adventures of a special agent working for the American government. The product was prepared by Ubisoft company exclusively for PlayStation Portable as the first game in the series released on this platform.

The story starts right after the events of Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Double Agent, a game released on stationary platforms. However, in-game missions occur in the past – you can play retrospect missions from the earlier career of Fisher. You can even go back in time to when Sam served under military organization U.S. Navy SEALs.

Obviously, gameplay mechanics went through no radical changes as compared to previous Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell games. The perspective is still third person, you sneak past the enemies in the shadows, silently eliminate opponents, scout the environment with special goggles, pick locks, etc. The authors included most of the weapons and gadgets previously used by Fisher, as well as added some new ones. Moreover, User Interface was adjusted to PSP standards. What is more, multiplayer gameplay was prepared for several agents playing together via Wi-Fi connection.
