Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Siege Desert is the official extension to Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon tactical shooting. The plugin was produced by Red Storm development studio and enriches the base game with a number of new maps, transferring the action to North Africa. Players have the opportunity to take part in a fictitious armed conflict between Ethiopia and Eritrea.

Desert Siege is a mission pack for the tactical action game Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon. The action takes place in South Africa, where a conflict between two countries, Ethiopia and Eritrea, is raging on. As a part of a United Nations operation, the Ghost unit is sent right into the heart of the ongoing war. The player has to command it in eight new and dangerous missions, each with different objectives (escorting, ambushing, etc). Moreover, the expansion also contains a number of new weapons and vehicles as well as new maps for the multiplayer mode. The developers, Red Storm Entertainment, also introduced a few enhancements in the audiovisual layer of the game (more visual effects, better audio) as well as the computer AI.
