Tlatoani

Tlatoani is a city builder with hand-made 2D graphics. The title of the game means "ruler" in the Aztec language. This is a debut project created by Bellwood Studios in collaboration with Perspective Games.

Gameplay

In Tlatoani we take on the role of a rising Aztec ruler. Our main task is to expand a small settlement and create an empire out of it. Missions and goals help with this, making it easier to find the optimal way to improve the city.

All citizens have their own artificial intelligence. This results in their automatic adaptation to the current needs of the metropolis and its faster development. As a result, the key to the gameplay becomes the proper placement of buildings in a limited space and subordinating their functionality to the needs of the residents.

In addition to ensuring the economic development of our settlement, we also need to train warriors to defend it, as well as take care of the religious aspects. This is allowed by a dedicated system, in which we not only organize festivals and holidays, but also make sacrifices to gain the favor of the gods for our subjects. An additional challenge are random disasters, such as fires and floods.

Game modes

As in other similar productions, Tlatoani offers a separate sandbox mode outside the campaign, allowing us to build without any restrictions.
