Shooting on rails published by Namco. Production allows players to play the role of a secret agent who tries to save the kidnapped daughter of the president of a fictitious state. The title introduced a revolutionary concept for the genre of hiding behind covers.

Time Crisis is the first installment of the popular series of rail shooters released on PS1. The console edition of the game was released in 1997, two years after the debut of its arcade prototype, and introduced into the genre the revolutionary concept of hiding from enemy fire between shooting.

Story

In Time Crisis we play the role of Richard Miller, a special agent of the international security agency V.S.S.S.E. He is sent with the mission to save Rachel McPherson, daughter of the ruler of a fictional state Sercia. The girl was kidnapped by Sherudo Garo, a former dictator who, together with his army of mercenaries, is trying to force the current president to surrender power to him.
