Port of a rail shooter developed by Perfect Entertainment, which initially appeared on arcade machines. The title is a short and intensive title distinguished by an unusual audiovisual setting.
Mechanics
The players take on the role of an anti-terrorist, who is sent on three consecutive missions in different parts of the world. Their task is to stop groups of criminals who have taken hostages and threaten the lives of innocent people. Maximum Force is a typical rail shooter. The action is presented from FPP and the hero moves automatically, so players' actions are limited to tracking enemies appearing on the screen and eliminating them before they can shoot. The fun is enhanced by power-ups appearing on the map, which increase the hero's shooting speed or the strength of their bullets. The title encourages multiple playthrough of individual missions, offering a point counter and a scoreboard.
Technical aspects
Maximum Force is distinguished by interesting audiovisuals. All levels have been made in 3D, but the characters of hostages and terrorists are digitalized images of actors. The game is characterized by exaggerated brutality, manifested, among others, in the blood exploding from opponents after they get hit.
