Third Eye Crime is a noir style and an old-fashioned top-down sneakdown with elements of logical and adventure games. The title was developed by an independent studio Moonshot Games, founded by former members of the Halo Bungie Software series. The game was created for owners of PCs and mobile devices with iOS system.
The game tells the story of a certain Rothko - an experienced thief and a real artist in his profession. However, our proto-plaster is not an ordinary carnivore. What made it a legend is the unique sixth sense, as its authors call it - the thieving "Third Eye". This specific skill allows Rothko not only to read the thoughts of museum or gallery owners and easily identify places where valuable trophies are hidden. Equally important is the ability to predict the movements of the guards, thanks to which our hero is able to steal, being unnoticed and always infallibly choose the most appropriate escape route.
In the game there are 120 different levels, located in eight different locations. PC version owners receive a full set of missions, which mobile device users had to purchase successively using a micropayment system. In each of the successive stages we have to break in and escape the attention of the guards, using our unique ability to predict the next moves of enemies. A peculiar innovation in the genre of sneaking is the fact that in addition to avoiding the sight of the guards, Rothko can also mislead them, leaving false traces and clues. As the game progresses, the hero also acquires other valuable skills - but that doesn't mean that it's getting easier. In the next stages, the level of difficulty increases quite quickly, and the guards are equipped with newer and newer gadgets, making it difficult for us to complete the task.
The action of the game is shown in a classic top-down perspective, and the gameplay is saturated with the atmosphere of noir films, intensified by the characteristic and stylish graphics, reminiscent of comic cards. The specific atmosphere of the game is complemented by a jazz soundtrack, reminiscent of criminals from the 1940s.
