The Way of Love: Sub Zero is a traditional point-n-click adventure game developed by RSK Entertainment, an Iranian studio responsible for titles such as Murder in Tehran’s Alleys 1933 or Forgotten Sound.

Plot

The action of the game takes place during the so called First Gulf War – the conflict between Iraq and Iran that took place in years 1980-1988. The plot tells the story of Asif, a young Iranian pilot who received a mission to deliver important documents that can determine the further course of the war. Unfortunately, Asif is betrayed and ends in Iraqi captivity. The man manages to hide the documents before his capture – a man named Rasoul is sent to retrieve them, as well as to make an attempt to free Asif.

Mechanics

The Way of Love: Sub Zero is a traditional point-n-click adventure game. The player explores locations, talks with independent characters, searches for items, and solves puzzles. We are left with the ability to change the attire of the currently chosen character – the soldiers of both armies are led by an AI module that recognizes the currently worn uniform. Visually, the game maintains the level seen in other adventure games. As a result, we receive detailed pre-rendered backgrounds inhabited by three-dimensional characters. During the game, we visit over 80 backgrounds.
