The Sims: Unleashed introduces various domestic animals to the life of the Sims. The player can add dogs, cats, birds, fishes, lizards, turtles and other animals to his house.

The Sims: Unleashed is the fifth expansion to the famous human life simulation, called The Sims. As the name suggest, the expansion introduces to the life our Sims animals, so-called household pets and man's best friends. These are: dogs, cats, canaries, fish aquarium, lizards, turtles, etc. The Sims have of course many new responsibilities, for example: taking the dogs for a walk and replacing the water in the aquarium. There are also new types of problems, like torn sofa by 100kg guard dog or peed armchairs by the young cat. The pets give large range of topics on which the Sims can chat with other Sims – it can help them making some new friendships with the owners of domestic animals.
In The Sims: Unleashed appears 5 new careers and 50 new types of work. The Sims can become veterinarians, culinary geniuses, discover the world of fashion and also perform in the circus. There have been added thirty new buildings and facilities such as homes, parks, cafes, restaurants, pet shops, supermarkets. There are also more than 125 new everyday objects. The last innovation is gardening. The Sims can cultivate a garden and plant all kinds of vegetables and fruits. The fruits and vegetables from the garden may be consumed or sold on the marketplace. Moreover, there are a number of other minor updates like new skins, interior designs, etc.
