This is 1938, in less than a dozen or so months, the world will be engulfed by the most terrible war in the history of mankind. Howard Hawks, a brilliant inventor, creates a rucksack with a jet engine, which allows you to fly into the air without hindrance. A revolutionary device, it quickly becomes an object of interest of the dark star types. The prototype is stolen, but thieves fail to escape safely. For fear of a police raid, they hide him in one of the hangars near the airport. As a result of a total accident, the backpack falls into the hands of Peevy's mechanic and Cliff Secord's pilot...

The Rocketeer is an arcade game based on the popular comic book by Dave Stevens and Disney's film, under the same title. As you probably guess, it is you who will be responsible for using the revolutionary invention and defeating all enemies, including fascists pushing their dirty round-ups into them, including fascists. The programme is divided into five very different segments. In the first of them, you take part in a series of races around the smokers hit by the airport, then you move to the hangar, where you have to delete, hiding behind the planes and barrels of the Nazis. The third stage allows you to take advantage of your jet backpack and rise into the air. Here your task is only to fly to the right and shoot at the enemies emerging from the opposite side, just like in the fourth segment, with the difference that this time you sit at the controls of Locust. The last stage was a fight on the airship, ending with the death of a German general. At first glance it seems to be little, but it's just appearances. Each segment consists of several smaller, but almost identical levels, and all of them are extremely difficult. The situation is improved by the fact that the game can be played from any episode, as long as you get to know the password beforehand.

Visual management is on a very decent level. Graphics is clear, animations nice, as for 1991, just great. Between successive stages, on the screen appear interludes realized in the form of a comic book, all of them without exception accompanied by digitized speech, which at that time was a rarity.
