The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame is an adaptation of The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part and a continuation of The LEGO Movie Videogame from 2014. Just like the previous LEGO videogame productions, this action platformer was developed by Traveller's Tales studio.

Plot

The action of The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame takes place after the events presented in the first instalment of the series. The city of Bricksburg was completely destroyed, and in order to rebuild it and save their friends, the heroes (led by Emmet, Lucy and Batman) have to embark on a cosmic journey into the dangerous Systar system.

Mechanics

In The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame, we travel through a variety of locations, fight fight enemies and solve simple environmental puzzles that require skillful use of the abilities of each of more than a hundred heroes. In addition, we collect rare items and useful materials that we use to create tools, which in turn allow us to build a variety of structures that provide us with access to unique rewards and special missions.

Exploration is diversified by vehicles. Both entirely new locations and the ones featured in the previous installment are waiting to be explored. In addition, the developers improved the combat system and took care of unique attacks for each character. Among the protagonists you can find not only old acquaintances, but also completely new heroes, such as General Mayhem or Rex Dangervest.

Like previous LEGO games, The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame allows you to play alone or in cooperation with another player on a spli-screen.

Technical aspects

The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame has colorful, 3D visuals in a style known from previous LEGO games as well as from the original movie.
