Psychonauts 2

Psychonauts 2 is a three-dimensional platform game for PC, XONE and PS4. The game is a continuation of Psychonauts of 2005 and was developed by the same team as the original - namely, the Double Fine studio.

Story

Once again, the main hero of Psychonauts 2 for PC, XONE and PS4 is - familiar from the first installment - a young telepath named Razputin (for friends Raz), who specializes in trips into other people's minds. After the events from the last part, he managed to achieve recognition from the titular organization bringing together people with psychic talents, and had been invited to its headquarters. However, on-site he discovers that the group is in serious trouble, and that the duty of rescuing them lies on his shoulders.

Gameplay

Psychonauts 2 for PC, XONE and PS4 is a classic three-dimensional platform game - we observe the action from a traditional, third person camera placed behind the hero. Gamelpay focus is primarily the exploration of the world, avoiding traps, overcoming obstacles and fighting enemies. Maps are large are densely filled with objects to collect and secrets to discover. Particular emphasis was placed on the arcade elements, but there also is a handful of artsy puzzles. During the campaign, we will spend most of the time exploring the insides of people's minds. Headquarters of the Psychonauts organization serve as the base to which we return between subsequent missions. During the game, Raz slowly acquires new psychic skills and develops those already possessed, which allows him to cope with challenges previously impossible to overcome.
