The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Master Trials

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Master Trials for SWITCH and WiiU is an expansion for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild that was developed by Nintendo. Master Trials requires the base game to be playable.

Mechanics

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Master Trials for SWITCH and WiiU is your typical game expansion that does not introduce any major changes to gameplay mechanics. Nintendo focused on adding new content to the game and, by doing so, prolonging our adventures in Hyrule.

The biggest introduction that comes with the expansions is the new adventure called Trials of the Sword. It takes us to small areas where we do not have access to our previously gathered equipment and have to fight with waves of enemies. We get new pieces of equipment and useful items by defeating our enemies and exploring our surroundings. Doing so will prepare us for fights with more powerful opponents.

The expansion also introduces a new difficulty level called Master Mode. It was designed to challenge even the most experienced players. In terms of new items, Master Trials introduces one new mask and eight armor sets.
