Plot
Warhammer: 40K is a universe set in the 41st millennium in which the humanity ruled by a divine Emperor conquers starts, repelling attacks of ruthless aliens and traitorous Forces of Chaos at every turn. The Horus Heresy: Betrayal at Calth for PC tells of one of the biggest wars in the history of the Empire. It started in the 31st millennium, when Horus, the grandest champion and the chosen one of the Emperor, betrayed and sold his soul to the Dark Gods of Chaos.
Mechanics
The Horus Heresy: Betrayal at Calth is a classic turn-based strategy game. The players control their units on a tactical map and can calmly plan their every move ahead. The troops we use are characterized by different abilities, and using them properly is necessary to win. In Steel Wool Studios’ production, we lead a legion of Ultramarines and traitorous Word Bearers.
The Horus Heresy: Betrayal at Calth features a campaign that consists of 24 missions as well as a multiplayer PvP module that lets the players compete on 4 maps in two modes: Deathmatch and Objective Match.
Technical aspects
The Horus Heresy: Betrayal at Calth for PC is characterized by decent three-dimensional graphics that captures the spirit of Warhammer: 40K well. The game supports VR headsets (HTC Vive and Oculus Rift).
