The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited – Morrowind for PC, PS4 and XONE is another large expansion pack for an MMORPG entitled The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited. Same as the base game and all the expansions released so far, this game was also developed by ZeniMax Online Studios. The add-on can be purchased both in physical and digital forms.
Plot
The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited – Morrowind gives an opportunity to visit another part of Tamriel, the empire. This time it is the island of Vvardenfell, which is located in the titular province of Morrowind. The plot focuses on a mysterious sickness, which has taken its toll on Vivec – a member of the Trinity comprised of divine entities that have guarded this part of the world. Obviously, the player's task will be to find the medicine and restore him to health – otherwise, the world will fall apart.
Mechanics
The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited – Morrowind for PC, PS4 and XONE does not introduce any significant changes to the mechanics, thus exploration, as well as completing different quests given by ordinary inhabitants of this extensive world and representatives of guilds, both comprise the core of the experience. Fighting one's enemies is also an important part of the game; their level of experience scales in real time to the level of the player's character. The player can experience the game world solo, though the adventure gets richer when particular events are experienced with the accompaniment of other players.
A completely new place for the player to explore is the key element of this expansion pack. The island of Vvardenfell (The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind), is the largest location implemented to The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited since its debut. Because this expansion pack is set entire centuries before the Nerevarine defeated Dagoth Ur, not everything here appears to be as the players remember it – for instance, the construction of the city of Vivec has not been finished yet. Noticeably, the island introduced in this expansion is available for the player to explore from the very beginning, as one of the updates brought enemy difficulty scaling to the player's level, which allows both the newcomers and veterans to traverse the lands freely.
Warden is the new character class brought by the add-on. Those playing as one can benefit mostly from use of the magic of nature; on the other hand, a tamed bear supports them in the struggle against the adversaries.
Game modes
Similar to the core game, The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited – Morrowind for PC, PS4 and XONE offers both PvE and PvP kinds of game modes. In terms of the PvP variants, the Battlegrounds constitute a novelty here, which focuses on the battles involving three teams of four players.
Technical aspects
The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited - Morrowind can be purchased both as part of the set containing also the base game (three versions available: a basic, and two separate collector's editions), and as a separate product (through buying the Upgrade Edition or the more expensive, extended Digital Collector's Upgrade).
