A VR remake of an adventure game from 1993. In The 7th Guest VR we play as one of the guests in the grim, dark manor of Henry Stauf.
The 7th Guest VR is a remake of the dark adventure game from 1993, developed with VR in mind. It was created by Vertigo Games, also responsible for the Arizona Sunshine series and After the Fall.
Plot
The 7th Guest VR has us playing as one of the six visitors to Henry Stauf's mansion. This famous toy maker gained worldwide recognition thanks to his incredibly beautiful dolls. When the children in possession of his toys start falling horribly ill, Stauf secluded himself in his manor, resigned to live in solitude.
The protagonist and his companions quickly learn the mansion's been overtaken by a mysterious dark force. They must fight for survival to learn what does Henry want from them, as well as the identity of the titular seventh guest.
Mechanics
The 7th Guest VR is a first-person game (FPP). The player must explore the estate, talk to other visitors and solve puzzles. These involve looking for items and manipulating the environment. While learning the mansion's secrets we must also watch out for the threats lurking within.
Technical aspects
The visuals of The 7th Guest VR combine computer-made graphics with FMV elements. The dark atmosphere is amplified by the audio and the soundtrack.
