Game mechanics

In FOBIA: St. Dinfna Hotel we observe the action from a first person perspective (FPP). While exploring the hotel, we have to be constantly on guard, because there are dangerous creatures that can tear the protagonist to pieces. Roberto can defend himself from the dangers using a gun, and in emergency situations he has no choice but to escape.

Besides, puzzles play an important role here, solving which requires not only looking into every corner while exploring the object, but also using the camera. Watching the surroundings through its lens, we can see versions of the hotel from different time periods. In each era, we find useful items or clues to help us move the story forward. Interestingly, the solutions to the puzzles are chosen at random.

The game implements a simple system of improving equipment by combining found items. Moreover, as we progress, the production reveals new mechanics to us.

Technical aspects

FOBIA: St. Dinfna Hotel features good quality graphics. The whole was kept in a realistic style, and the dark atmosphere is created here, among others, by the gloomy interior design and sparse lighting.
