Tetragon Description
Tetragon is a platform puzzle game. The game was developed by Cafundo Estudio Criativo Eireli team (Cafundo Creative Studio), and it was published by Buka Entertainment.
Plot
The main character of Tetragon is a lumberjack named Lucios who tries to find his lost son - Jerry. His quest leads him to the Tetragon - a fantastic world consisting of parallel 2D planes of reality, floating around a magical gem - TetraGen. When he is destroyed by a mysterious dark force, the Tetragon becomes a prison for Lucios. On Lucios' shoulders rests both the task of rescuing his son and the mission to retrieve all the shards of the TetraGen, deal with the evil imprisoned here, and restore the Tetragon to its former order.
Mechanics
Tetragon is a side-scroller. More than forty levels located in four different worlds are waiting for us to visit. On each level our primary task is to reach the passage leading to the next one. To do this, we have to solve puzzles, which requires the use of TetraGen. The gem allows us, above all, to rotate the planes, on which Lucios is at the moment. You have to be careful while doing so, because as the board rotates, previous walls or ceilings become floors, and thus gravity changes. In addition, Lucios can manipulate his surroundings to create bridges or additional platforms to climb on. Although the puzzles aren't too difficult at first, the difficulty level increases over time, and solving them requires careful planning and a good sense of orientation in 2D space (for example, to predict where Lucios will fall after rotating the board).
Technical aspects
Tetragon features a simple, yet colorful and clear graphics design. Moving from one plane to another is accompanied by an interesting falling effect deep into the screen.
